Birchbox x Oliver Bonas

When I saw that Oliver Bonas was collaborating with Birchbox I knew it was time to resubscribe to Birchbox. I got a cheeky little discount code of 50% off the box so I was incredibly excited to receive it, and today I did. I would like to mention that the post man probably thought I was crazy because it was about 11 am when he came and I was still asleep (yes, I’m a night owl – I sleep all day and work all night oops). So I had to grab my dressing gown, run downstairs and open the door with one eye open and my hair all over the place. Oh well!

I could choose my box design online and when I saw it in person I was so happy with my choice! It is literally the prettiest little box ever. I love how it opens up as if it was a shelf and the colours are stunning! I’m definitely going to keep this and use it in my office! My favourite part is the little quote on the side saying ‘work hard, play hard & be kind’. It’s definitely my life motto!

All of the products in this box are bright, which totally matches the box itself! It honestly is like a box of joy and colour haha! When I first looked in the box I was a bit disappointed that I did not receive more make-up items and that I received skincare and haircare items instead, but that impression soon changed as I started investigating all of the products further.

This Dr. PawPaw Original Clear Balm caught my eye first, probably since my favourite colour is yellow! This is a balm made in the UK from fermented pawpaw, which is a fruit with naturally healing ingredients and it’s supposed to be very hydrating. It can be used as a balm or a moisturiser or even to smooth split ends. It’s really an all in one product. I used this today before getting ready where I started to get a little bit of eczema. It’s now 5 hours later and my eczema is 90% gone already. AMAZING. I also used it on my cuticles (because I’m a nail biter – ew I know – and my cuticles constantly need some healing) and my nails and fingers feel incredible already. I will definitely be using this daily now!

The next thing in the box is the Polaar IcyMagic Instant Eye Contour Energiser. It’s supposed to smooth tired eyes and brighten the under-eye area instantly. I never really get on with eye gels, they just don’t really make a difference to me but I think this one is a bit different. The roll-on really cools the under-eye area and the gel has a cooling effect as well. I enjoyed using it today and it did reduce puffiness under my eyes so I’m excited to keep using this and seeing more results!

The next item is the Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle hair product. This is a leave-in product that you apply into damp hair to protect your hair from frizz, detangling and it adds shine and enhances your hair colour! Since I use heat on my hair on a daily basis, I love receiving products that actually help my hair out a little. So far, my hair feels really smooth and the ends aren’t frizzy at all even though I curled it today. Loving this product so far!

A FULL SIZE PRODUCT! YAY! This is the Arrow BOOST Color Enhancing Lip Balm. It claims to adjust to your unique pH to create the perfect hue for your lips. It containts mango seed butter that is hydrating to the lips. I used this today before applying my lipstick and it was the creamiest thing ever. I absolutely love the scent and the fact that it doesnt leave my lips sticky, just creamy and smooth. Definitely loving this!

ANOTHER FULL SIZE PRODUCT! WHAT!? This is the Manna Kadar Fantasy 3-in-1 Blush, Highlighter, Eyeshadow. At first I thought it was just going to be another typical brown eyeshadow and I was quite confused of how I was meant to use this as a blush but I was totally wrong. I used this as my blush/highlighter today and I am in love with this product, I hope I never run out! Due to my pale skin tone, pink-toned blushes tend to look a bit harsh on me. This, however, gave me the prettiest golden peachy glow. It’s the most perfect blush that also is kind of like a highlighter due to the glow that it has. It’s not overpowering and it looks super natural. I’m incredibly happy with this product and it’s definitely my favourite of this box!

Last but not least – stickers. I didn’t expect to get any stickers in my Birchbox but I’m actually really happy I did because these are definitely THE CUTEST stickers I’ve ever seen.

Which product is your favourite from this month’s Birchbox? Let me know in the comments below!

Be kind, be humble.

  1. I’m desperate to try Dr Paw Paw, Polaar Icy Magic and the Arrow Lipbalm – I’d love to see a review on these products. Enjoy using them!💚

  2. I was subscribed to Birchbox for a few months but I started to go off them because the products ended up being a bit same-y each month so I unsubscribed. One thing I did love was their box designs though! I’ve still got a few of the drawer-type boxes that I use for putting make-up and other random things in, they look so pretty on my desk. This box design is stunning! x

    1. That’s exactly what I did too. I just got this box due to the 50% discount just to try out some new bits again. I cancelled my subscription afterwards as I figured it would become repetitive again but so many people love it x
